1. How many sensors I need to protect my home?

It depends on the size of your home and the number of rooms in it. We think that minimal number for every home is 4 (kitchen, bathroom, front door and one thing that really attracts your toddler).

  1. Are Noomly sensors wireless?

Yes, Noomly sensors are powered by batteries so you can put them wherever you need it the most and you are not limited with electrical outlets.

  1. How will I know when I need to change the batteries in my Noomly sensors?

Don’t worry, we will notify you when it’s time to change them. For us, it’s very important that sensors are working all the time so you, your family and your home are always protected.

  1. Are Noomly sensors using cameras to recognize a toddler?

No, Noomly sensors are not using cameras of any kind. Noomly sensors are using infrared movement sensors and based on the size of a person that is moving in front of them they are determing is a person a grown-up or a toddler.

  1. I have a dog, will Noomly sensors react on its movement too?

For now, Noomly sensors can’t differentiate pets from toddlers so yes, Noomly will react on dog’s movement too. If you would like to be notified when your toddler AND your dog enters the bathroom, then you can use our sensors. If you would like that your dog’s movements are ignored just like your movements are, then you’ll have to wait a little bit longer. Our plan is to develop a sensor that can ignore pets in the near future.

  1. How will Noomly sensor notify me when my toddler tires to sneak out in the backyard?

Noomly will send you a notification via iOS/Android app. It will keep sending you notifications until you confirm that everything is alright. Since reacting as soon as possible in those situations is very important, notification will be in color that you linked with certain sensor so you could memorize sensors’ locations by colors and go there as fast as possible without even reading the notification.
